What We Do

America’s Big Sisters Foundation seeks to empower, encourage, and educate young ladies in underserved communities to become positive, independent, goal-oriented, and self-sufficient in society. We strive to ensure that every young lady is equipped with the knowledge to pursue a productive and fulfilling life and succeed in a diverse, evolving global society.

America’s Big Sisters Foundation launched July 2017 with its Staple event Empowerherment summit (Empower-her-summit) at Robert Morris University in Chicago, IL. Hosting 200 girls ages 9-17 each year. The all-day event enabled young ladies to develop their character, values, talents, and personal leadership to achieve their full potential in the future.

In 2020 with the overwhelming response, we expanded and renamed America’s Big Sisters Annual Empowherment Summit into the ALL Girls Matter Empowherment Conference, including community vendors and increasing the attendance to 400 girls at the University of Illinois Chicago.

The event creates an avenue for ALL girls to unite despite their environmental, socioeconomic and personal  differences to share experiences and obtain strategies to overcome the world’s stereotypes and negative influences.

In 2022 with our our city tour, “We Changed the World of 1,050 Girls.”  As the tour continues in 2023 we endeavor to impact the lives of 2,500 girls across the United States.
