About All Girls Matter Empowherment Expo

America’s Big Sisters Foundation seeks to empower, encourage, and educate young ladies in underserved communities to become positive, independent, goal-oriented, and self-sufficient in society. We strive to ensure that every young lady is equipped with the knowledge to pursue a productive and fulfilling life and succeed in a diverse, evolving global society.

America’s Big Sisters Foundation launched July 2017 with its Staple event Empowerherment summit (Empower-her-summit) at Robert Morris College in Chicago, IL. We were hosting 200 girls (9-17) each year. The all-day event enabled young ladies to develop their character, values, talents, and personal leadership to achieve their full potential in the future.

In 2020 with the overwhelming response, we expanded and renamed America’s Big Sisters Annual Empowherment Summit into the ALL Girls Matter Empowherment EXPO, including community vendors and increasing the attendance to 400 girls at the University of Illinois Chicago.

The event creates an avenue for ALL girls to unite despite their environmental, socioeconomic and personal  differences to share experiences and obtain strategies to overcome the world’s stereotypes and negative influences.

In 2021 ABSF developed a partnership with Girls Who Brunch to collaborate with ALL Girls
Matter Empowherment Expo to expand its reach.
